A dark, gallery-led marketing site that lets concrete, light and geometry do the talking — and turns admirers into project enquiries.
Overview
Bureau is a mid-size architecture practice with an award shelf and a website that hid it. Their old site buried projects three clicks deep and rendered renders as thumbnails. We rebuilt the experience around one idea: the work is the navigation.
The challenge
Hundreds of high-resolution images, case narratives written by architects, and a team that needed to publish without a developer. The new site had to feel like a gallery, load like a blog, and edit like a document.
Approach
- Full-bleed project index with biome-style filtering by sector and year
- Case templates with oversized imagery, drawings and material palettes
- Webflow CMS structured so partners can publish a case in an afternoon
- Image pipeline with responsive sizes and lazy loading throughout
